Using the Zinio App for the iPad (zinio.com/ipad), the iconic music title’s digital version will allow music enthusiasts to sample and purchase music with a swipe of a finger. The interactive edition will be available on other platforms as well, including Windows, Mac and Linux PCs. While fans read about legends ranging from Bob Dylan and Beyonce to Bruce Springsteen and Aretha Franklin, they can preview and purchase the Rolling Stone Special Collectors Edition’s song recommendations via iTunes.
Scribner and Simon & Schuster Digital have released what they are calling their first-ever “enhanced e-book,” Rick Perlstein’s Nixonland, via Apple’s iBookstore application.
The enhanced e-book [iTunes link] includes an original interview with the author and 27 historic video segments produced by CBS News embedded alongside the original text, which was first published in hardcover in May 2008. A digital version without the video is also available through Amazon’s Kindle Store.
