Amazon has released the source code for all models of the Kindle. This means that we can now look at the code which makes the Kindle, Kindle 2, and the Kindle DX tick. The code can be found here on the Amazon site. So the question for all the curious minds out there is why did Amazon do this.

Taiwan government aims at 80% global market share for Taiwan-made e-book readers in 2013
Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) will be implementing a 5-year project with a total budget of NT$2.134 billion (US$65 million) to boost development of digital publication industries in Taiwan, with the goal being to make Taiwan-produced e-book readers reach a global market share of 80% with sales of NT$50 billion in 2013, according to the agency.

Still in beta, the site contains more than 1500 articles by Harvard-affiliated authors, divided into two “communities” - the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Harvard Law School.

Оказывается, Либрусек тишком сделал конвертацию в epub. Попробовал для других книг - то же самое. Фантастика. Пользователям Sony Reader теперь не нужно мучиться с конвертацией из fb2. Странно, что Либрусек просто линк не даёт.

Effective September 2009, we will no longer open new accounts for publishers to sell titles through the Kindle Store or MobiPocket.com. If you have an existing account, there will be no change and you can continue to upload and sell titles using Ebookbase.
